PRODUCER, MIXING ENGINEER & AUDIO EDITOR

Hi, I'm Mat. I've worked with sound for over 20 years.

I partner with artists and organizations to shape and refine their audio. I've worked with HBO, ESPN, Warner Bros. Records, Discovery ChannelNational Geographic2k Games, The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Ice Cube, and Future Islands. I’ve owned and run Mobtown Studios in Baltimore, MD, USA since 2006.

As a producer and studio owner, I lead from behind. I strive to marry the input from all stakeholders while moving the project forward. I identify and punctuate the creative meat of the sound while prioritizing the practical requirements of the work.

As an engineer and editor, I am efficient, organized, and detail-oriented. I find great satisfaction in mixing, editing, and restoring audio and I geek out on my tools. I am an effective communicator and I don’t shy away from rapid deadlines. I have the flexibility to work collaboratively or independently, as the project requires.
